Integrated Content Management System (ICMS)
We have developed ICMS for many companies in the past ten years and so are enriched with technology and knowledge to readily tailor-make your web upon your request. You do not have to develop those technologies by yourself and it works well with your existing sites and systems through a quick and seamless integration. No need for expensive hardware, software downloads, or ongoing maintenance because ICMS does all the work.
It's as easy to use as a Microsoft word processor! Simply type as if you are using Microsoft word and ICMS will offer you with a full complement of WYSIWYG editing capabilities to both Windows and Macintosh clients using Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari. Enabling anyone at any level of technical knowledge to make website edits with no programming, HTML, or training required.
Create new web pages and links anytime from anywhere through any Internet browser or easily edit copy, font, size and format in real-time. It allows more than one staff to do the updating and editing at the same time.
Management of multilingual web sites is now quick and easy. You only need to be concerned about the content and ICMS will take care of the rest. Just simply paste the words onto multi-lingual supported word pad and then they can be converted to any desired languages. Managing multilingual sites do not have to be difficult!
It offers a powerful role-based workflow/approval system designed to be flexible enough to fit the needs of most organizations. Only after content has been approved by managers or supervisors is it published to your web site.
In the CMS administrator, managers could assign different user permissions and privileges in specific article series and small workgroups of users could be easily formed for controlling specific web site sections. It offers a powerful Groups Based Access system to allow the right people to edit the right pages. Several permission levels give you the control you need to controls what features are accessible to each user and so to ensure each user who is able to contribute to the web site has the power they need. The workflow/approval process will trigger email notifications to the appropriate users as pages are sent out for approval and as they are authorized or declined. No matter where your users are (at home, on the road, etc.) they will be notified by email of tasks to which they must attend.
It allows company to upload photos, pdf, powerpoint or word files onto the web for stalk holders’ interests and manage the files in the built-in database and album. For photo files, simply upload the digital photos to the built-in photo album installed in ICMS, the system will automatically do the photo resizing, indexing and storage according to the preset requirement. Then you can insert graphics and images directly to a page with one of our kind drag-and-drop capability during editing or composing. No more duplicated workloads (including uploading and resizing using two different softwares) will be needed anymore with this built-in function. Less time in Photoshop will allow you to spend more time updating content and this would be a very efficient way for users to upload their digital photos of products, events, etc. You can always manage your files album and retrieve files according to your future needs.
As mentioned, everything is readily available and the setup period can be as short as a day. We hope to provide you with the ICMS in the shortest time so to allow your company to compete at your edge in this fast changing world.
The effect of updating and creating web content is instant. Different staff can directly update news from their departments to the according news category – company, market, people, product, event highlights, etc, at anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Efficiency of updating web content can be increased since the turn-around delays between authors and the technical personnel is minimized and the process is more direct. News can be kept updated to cater customers cost-effectively. Sometimes, the managers may also assign and release some information that they would want either all staff or specific group of staff to read so to enrich the regional and global insights. This can be done in a quick and efficient way.
Such procedures can also be applied for updating Event Highlights so the staff can be kept up-to-date of what is happening all around the company, even though the events may not be related to his own department
The CMS is built with a statistics analyzer, which assists the company to collect data on page hits and visitors information. Different from many analyzers on the market, the CMS analyzer may filter unwanted data such as the hits of images, Flash files, etc, to extract the precise figure. The CMS may also generate reports basing on domain name, date, specific pages, etc, in just one click.
Fewer technical staff could be employed for maintaining and updating the site, and the residual IT department can focus more on the providing other core services to customers or to innovate new technologies for the company. Less time is needed to keep the web updated, where saving of time is one way of saving money. Outsourcing changes the balance of this ratio by moving from fixed to variable cost and also by making variable costs more constant and predictable.
Besides simply maintaining the web updated, the same resources can also contribute to develop sense of community between staff through instruments like forum and blog. Forum is a platform for online conversation, debate and information sharing. It provides a place for regular visitors to discuss topics the site covers. This creates a community and gives people an incentive to come back time and time again.
Blog is a creative space for staff to post their news, views, and information and is now usually a not-to-be-missed function in many successful enterprises. It allows staff to express their ideas and read others’ blogs which enhances knowledge sharing. After reading a piece of news or article, readers can rate the article, link to related links, leave a comment, print it out, forward it to colleagues, email to author or read more about author. Managers are encouraged to draft entries and upload materials so to share their views with staff, which has proved to be a successful way to encourage closer relationship and raise staffs’ sense of unity. The uploaded materials can also be case studies, white papers and research that would be useful in training staff.
